On September 11, 2001, the twin towers were to be no more, and with them, they took nearly three thousand lives on a day that will be forever marked in history. Sony responds to PS3 shortages

IGN has posted an interview with Dave Karraker, the Senior Director of Corporate Communications at Sony Computer Entertainment America, in direct response of the recently announced PS3 delays in the PAL territories. Firmware 2.81 for Sony PSP has been released

It was only a matter of time since the 2.80 firmware was exploited, Sony has now released the 2.81 firmware update. It seems this update is supposed to address a “security vulnerability”, as well as addressing a couple other issues. ATRAC files that were protected by Sonic Stage, and then transferred over to the Memory Stick Duo were showing as corrupted. Sony has also stated that firmware versions below 2.81 did not recognize high-capacity Memory... 

PS3: Weighed, measured, and found wanting.

Sony has announced that it’s forecast of 4 million PS3 units for a worldwide release has been changed. Apparently they are having difficulty with the production of the blue laser diode that’s crucial for the Blu-Ray developement. This delay means that PAL territories will be watching from the touchlines while the US and Japanese markets start playing their PS3 game cosoles on Novemeber 17th, and Nov. 11th respectively.
