According to Bloomberg, Jack Tretton, of SCEA, said that 15,000 PlayStation 3 demo kiosks will be deployed to American and Canadian retailers this holiday season.
Tretton had this to say:
“Once the consumers get their hands on a PS3 and understand what’s under the hood, I think price will not be a factor in the decision-making process.”
This deployment will cost Sony $30 million to complete. Tretton did not indicate whether this included PS3 hardware costs or not.
