Depsite being outsold practically all year by the Nintendo DS/Lite, Sony doesn’t expect to drop the price of the PSP unit. You can get the bare bones PSP package for $199, or opt for the bundled package at $250. The bundle, labeled PSP Entertainment Pack includes ATV Offroad Fury: Blazin’ Trails, the UMD movie Lords of Dogtown, and a 1GB Memory Stick Pro Duo.

Here’s what Sony Computer Entertainment America product manager John Koller had to say about it:

“We don’t necessarily see the need to cut the price,” told Reuters. “We need to offer broader value and introduce new consumers to what the PSP can do.”

So, the only value we’ll be getting will be in the form of new games coming to the beloved handheld system. There will be about 110 new games available by the end of 2006.
